But most fulfilling every way
As it takes the extra effort
To finally be done for good
Not to confuse with perfect
Rather the best possible here
In decent balance and harmony
With the flow of life and in love
Active as can be in manifesting
One’s own individual realities
Formed cooperating together
With each other, and with all
The essence of consciousness
Expressed in present moments
The divine so practical and real
Some have tried to give it a name
Tathāgata, Mahanta consciousness
Thus trying to scoop entire oceans
With their little cups and spoons
Calling their sip the one and only
Then displays blinding arrogance
While others remain loving silent
Giving each their space to drink
From their cups of revelations
Accepting the miracle of now
No cutting corners draws lines
Between what is real and not
To relish and love each other
An embrace of spirit’s grace
Accepted in humble gratitude
For the gifts of golden hearts.

So much stuff
That lasts or not
Comes and goes
From merchandise
To heaps of trash
Better think twice
And do consider
Ramifications
What it can do
In the long run
There’s a future
Of all the things
To flow and serve
Sustain a purpose
Or just fade away
From the new to old
More or less durable
Benefits that last
Or just wash away
With limited aims
A moment or two
Hopeful for more
Look and weigh
What may come
Recycle or reuse
Maybe for burning
In harmony and love.

The hair or the soup
Some throw it all out
When noticing one float
Discard the entire bowl
Instead of fishing it out
And relishing the meal
No matter how much
Fishing’s frowned upon
Causing repercussions
In this imperfect world
That’s making it perfect
With challenges offered
Experiences and lessons
Building up the courage
To fish out whatever hairs
Are floating in your soup
And savor a delicious meal
With all its good nutrients
Given freely in the present
Accepting all with gratitude
The ever abundant miracle
Of life, of love, and the light
Plus especially the sound
At times shining brilliantly
Then again – likely fading
Before blossoming anew
The rhythm of breathing
A sweet melody of spirit
Eternal harmony of soul.

Having an experience
In this world of now
Here in this moment

Together with others

Tao Te Ching 道德经 — a free reflection of verse #1

Spirit expressed is not the eternal spirit. What can be expressed is not eternal.

Non-being is the beginning of heaven and earth. Being is the origin of individual existence.

Therefore, looking towards non-being leads to contemplating the divine essence, and focusing towards being to contemplate the limitations of duality. However, both are one, from the same source. They are different only in name.

In its entirety, this is a great truth. And a still deeper truth of this secret is the gate through which miracles appear.
