Have you ever met
your rejected self
beat up suppressed
meek and miserable
until elated with joy
when finally noticed
and invited to jump
into wide open arms
an embrace of love
as for a small child
comes running up
and melts together
all together into one
accept shortcomings
with no more regrets
no more self beating
but hold on very tight
to this vulnerable kid
used to be trampled
finally all overjoyed
now to be embraced
and can hardly believe
that took so very long
to reunite at long last
what was all along
one and the same
in heart and soul
consciousness
of the divine.
