Why hostile

Why hostile
Not friendly
When is clear
Not strongest
But together
We prevail
Here now
And always
No matter
Where when
We light up
A corner
In sounds
Of silence
And love
Harmony
Of all life
And spirit
The divine
And God
All free
Choose
Friendly
Beyond
Hostile
So clear

“Louder Call for Peace” — again

Triple and quadruple fujara — January 2021 — 2:40 — as loop on a separate tab (or via right-click, if available)

Imagination as obstacle or detriment

One can come “to the conclusion that imagination is a negative […] faculty which he cannot control, and it always carries him away from his more conscious decisions in a direction in which he had no intention of going. Imagination, in this sense, is almost as bad as lying, for he starts to imagine something in order to please himself and, very soon, he begins to believe what he imagines, or at least some of it.”

— The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Books One & Two, Paul Twitchell, p. 305

Meandering river in the back of an Alpine valley — June 2023 — Tschingel (once a lake), Switzerland

You may enjoy a sound sample or tonality loop as sound mantra for contemplation or meditation. This can help with upliftment, purification, and focusing. Or it could simply be used as soothing background sound for relaxation and regeneration. If you care to hum, chant, or sing along, you could use a spiritually charged syllable like HU or Ōṃ / Aum ॐ, or another mantra syllable that suits you.

June 2023 Tonalibus update

This June 2023 Tonalibus update highlights the current release of “Once upon a time” as new single and announces the conclusion of playlist “Tonalibus J”. Further, it refers to MixoBal or HexaNaMix, a derivative tonality of unique harmonic balance, that triggered a fascinating discovery, a new view of the harmonics cycle with its inherent geometry, angles, symmetries, and axes.

MixoBal or HexaNaMix, a new derivative tonality

A few details on MixoBal or HexaNaMix, a Mixolydian derivative, are in the posting tonality of the month of June 2023. While listed as derivative in the overview chart of tonalities by lower and upper Tetrachord and as Na tonality, as derivative it is not detailed in the Tonalibus catalogue of tonalities. But it led to the following depiction of the harmonics cycle.

I hold my promise

I hold my promise
Thanks for inviting
But my freedom is
Outside of temples
Especially of dogma
That’s limiting clearly
While claiming much
Including liberation
But more enslaves
In subtle business
Most in want-to-be
More and yet more
Instead of just be
What we all are
Soul, sparks o’God
As everyone teaches
In the core of heart
Before imperialism
And absolutism
Poisons a well
If leaders let it
Or try to oppose
Under the banner
Of keeping it pure
What one wrote
A long time ago
Whether to help
Oneself or others
That tells it all…

Know one thing — I hold my promise

“No problem is given man which is greater than himself. Each being is tested according to his capacity; none are tested beyond it. Each problem which man encounters has a spiritual solution, and each person has his troubles at the point where he is most negative and vulnerable.
“Whosoever knows one thing therefore knows fully all things, for truth in one spiritual thing is inseparable from the truth of all things.”
— The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Books One & Two, Paul Twitchell, p. 209

Tonality of the month: MixoBal or HexaNaMix

MixoBal or HexaNaMix, a hexatonality Mixolydian derivative — calm sound sample, extensive (a.k.a. “Back in open time and space” — at long last) — lap slide guitar and tanpura — 6:28 — loop via right-click, if available

The tonality of the month of June 2023 is MixoBal or HexaNaMix, a hexatonality derivative of Mixolydian, HexaNaTriMix, or PentaNaMix. The prefix “Mixo” not only points to Mixolydian, it also underlines the mixture of progressive and regressive harmonic expansion. Strikingly, this appears in complete balance, building on the series of natural harmonics or overtones. This derivative tonality spreads equally in both directions out from the fundamental over a fully cohesive segment of the harmonics series. As such, MixoBal or HexaNaMix is also a prime Na(tural harmonics) tonality.

As defined in the Tonalibus glossary, derivative tonalities do not show up in detail in the Tonalibus catalogue of anchored tonalities. A common form of derivative tonalities is a slight mutation of one or more catalogued tonalities. MixoBal or HexaNaMix is equivalent to Mixolydian without second, HexaNaTriMix with the quart instead of the tritone, or PentaNaMix with the quart (fourth).

Silence to be relished
Framed by harmonics
Not to be so crowded
By notes and speed
But leisurely looking
And finding what fits
Experimenting quiet
Relaxation to healing
Unnecessary tension
Triggered stimulation
The aggravating kind
Instead good silence
Room for each and all
To tune in divine spirit
The present moment
The reality of all life
Where we are now
What we do here
How we’re doing
Each for oneself
At least to start
Then together
As living beings
Family and friends
A human society
Caretakers of all
To let all be as is
What we all are
Divine sparks.

“Don’t go by reports, by legends, by traditions, by scripture, by logical conjecture, by inference, by analogies, by agreement through pondering views, by probability, or by the thought ‘This contemplative is our teacher’.

“When you know for yourselves that, ‘These qualities are skillful; these qualities are blameless; these qualities are praised by the wise; these qualities, when adopted and carried out, lead to welfare and to happiness’ — then you should enter and remain in them.”
