What comes out

What comes out
When you open up your mouth
Rise your voice and let it flow
From within and also without
Wherever it goes with the current
Of life and love granting freedom
To be appreciated and left intact
Instead of limiting with thoughts
Attitudes, rules, and regulations
What in its heart is always free
The adventure of inner peace
No matter what turmoil rages
In the outer challenging all
To grow up as soul divine.

“Once upon a time” — again and still on the way

Phrygian on E — 6-string guitar, 7-string guitar, small gong — 5:09

Much comes out when one knows how to listen

“What little Momo could do like no one else was listen. That’s nothing special, some readers might say, anyone can listen.
But that is a mistake. Only very few people can really listen. And the way Momo knew how to listen was completely unique.
Momo could listen in such a way that foolish people suddenly had very clever thoughts. Not because she said something or asked something that gave the other person such thoughts, no, she just sat there and listened, with full attention and acceptance. She looked at the other person with her big, dark eyes and the person in question felt how thoughts suddenly arose in him of which he had never suspected that they were in him.
She could listen in such a way that helpless or indecisive people suddenly knew exactly what they wanted. Or that shy people suddenly felt free and brave. Or that the unhappy and depressed became confident and joyful. And when someone thought that his life was all messed up and meaningless and that he was just one in a million, someone who didn’t matter at all and who could be replaced just as quickly as a broken pot — and he went and told all that to little Momo, then, while he was still talking, it became mysteriously clear to him that he was thoroughly mistaken, that he, just as he was, existed only once among all people and that he was therefore important for the world in his own special way.
This is how Momo was able to listen!”

Glowing skies, sunrise, and big tree starting to sprout — April 2023 — Grächwil, Switzerland

How to be real

How to be real
In a fake world
Spoiled rotten
By big wealth
Piling on poor
Exploitation
Out for profit
From disasters
And shortages
Strife and war
Where ever to
Turn around
Breach the top
And also bottom
Level all fences
Around soul
Squeeze out
Into freedom
Better for real
Instead before
Just a carrot
Out of reach
Dangling close
To keep within
Corral’s confine
Under the sky
Infinitely blue
A heart of love.

How to be real? — Always here!

“You don’t have to be afraid, … we don’t want to chase you away. We want to help you.”
Momo nodded silently, but still not quite convinced.
“You say your name is Momo, don’t you?”
“Yes.”
“That’s a pretty name, but I’ve never heard it before. Who gave you that name?”
“I did,” Momo said.
“You named yourself that?”
“Yes.”
“When were you born, then?”
Momo thought about it and finally said, “As far as I can remember, I’ve always been around.”

Things do come together

Things do come together
As they are sorted out
When it is time always
One step and another
In the flow of life
And always love
One way or other
Replenish energy
Use what we have
Wise and prudent
With consciousness
Of where it comes from
And also where it goes
But — most of all
Where it is now
And what we do
To ease or aggravate
Since it is always both
Though we may want
To consider only one
Or maybe the other
Instead of balance
Opposites in unity
Leveling any bumps
Or else heaping hills
Sharpening blades
Or rounding edges
To meet half way
Anchored firmly
In sound harmony
And sweet silence.

“Ever again, keep going!” — life moves on

“If I ran the zoo” — by Dr. Seuss

“It’s a pretty good zoo,”
Said young Gerald McGrew,
“And the fellow who runs it
Seems proud of it too.”

“But if I ran the zoo,”
Said young Gerald MyGrew,
“I’d make a few changes.
That’s just what I’d do . . .”

“Yes . . .
That’s what I’d do,”
Said young Gerald McGrew.
“I’d make a few changes
If I ran the zoo.”

Tonality of the month: IonAeolian or ClusterBal

IonAeolian or ClusterBal — sound sample — 8-string guitar (with sustained echo) — 3:07 — as loop on a separate tab

The tonality of the month of April 2023 is IonAeolian or ClusterBal, a clustered or melodic heptatonality. The name IonAeolian indicates that the lower tetrachord is MixolydIonian and the upper PhrygAeolian. Its second name, ClusterBal, points to the overall balance in this fully anchored clustered tonality. Further names in use for it beyond Tonalibus are melodic major, Aeolian dominant, and minor over major (Min/Ma). A striking quality of this tonality is its overall balance and inherent symmetry. This is evident in the placement of its pitches, its intervals, and its two angeled axes. Its East and West halves mirror each other exactly. This results in a remarkable balance between regressive and progressive, major and minor flavors.

You may enjoy a sound sample or tonality loop as sound mantra for contemplation or meditation. This can help with upliftment, purification, and focusing. Or it could simply be used as soothing background sound for relaxation and regeneration. If you care to hum, chant, or sing along, you could use a spiritually charged syllable like HU or Ōṃ / Aum ॐ, or another mantra syllable that suits you.
